So what exactly makes a man, “perfect”? We surveyed over 40,000 WhatsYourPrice.com females to find out. Our goal? Determine America’s definition of “The Perfect Man” based on the following male qualities: Income, Education, Hair Color, Eye Color, Body Type, and Vice (Drinking/Smoking).
Female members were asked to rank the most important qualities in a man. The answers were then weighted accordingly when determining the overall value of “The Perfect Man.” Overall, women believed Education was the most important quality, followed by Income, Body Type, Hair Color, Eye Color, Drinking, and Smoking.
Here is what the women in various cities believed to be the most important quality in a man:
In our survey, the qualities were broken down and weighted by importance, based on all responses by the major cities. The following percentages indicate the likelihood of a first date with a woman. The more a man matches the most desirable qualities, the more likely a woman will date him.
The Perfect Man (% Chance for First Date)
1.) Education (30 Percent): Master’s Degree
2.) Income (22 percent): $100,000 to $150,000
3.) Body Type (17 Percent): Athletic Build
4.) Hair Color (14 Percent): Brown
5.) Eye Color (12 Percent): Blue
6.) Drinking (4 Percent): Social Drinker
7.) Smoking (1 Percent): Non-Smoker
This is no standard by any means. At the end of the day, a respectful gentleman will beat a wealthy, blue-eyed, brown-haired asshole.
Brandon Wade, our CEO and Founder, shared his insight:
“In the online dating world, ‘The Perfect Man’ transcends superficial qualities such as looks and body type. Women look past profile pictures and also value certain intangibles when choosing a first date—success, intelligence, and social habits.”

So…like tradition has always had it, despite what feminism and “gender equality” would want you to believe, the man should be the provider.
Where is the guy survey about what we want in our chosen woman?
The perfect man pays attention to a woman, listens to her, notices her efforts and compliments them, looks on her as if she is the only woman in the world and will always be, even as she ages, makes the effort to perform well timed romantic surprises for her throughout their life together, makes time to call her or be with her at least once a day, tells her he loves her and means it, looks into her eyes often and lovingly, doesn’t stray and realizes the grass is never greener, does some of the housework to let her have a rest, has faith in her abilities, doesn’t put her down and works out solutions, stays fit and lives in the moment and does adventurous things once in a while with her. That’s all I can think of.
This is sooo not my perfect man… I agree with bobby k…yes your education is important but not your paycheck or the color of you eyes or hair….it’s about what you do for me as a person… It’s about the quality and the quantity of your heart… You can be built like David Beckham…richer than bill gates or have blue eyes like Patrick Dempsey… But a jerk like Charlie Sheen…so for me it’s how much attention and effort you give me not how much you spend or how much you know….although I do have a thing for nerds lol
The perfect man for me is someone that follows my rules. Im a dominant woman – so i really dont need a dominant man.
Intelligence and humor is what i want in a man.
Income, women needs to feel protected. A cheap man isnt worth it at all
